Let's make America grate again...

The world is full of dishonourable types and fake news abounds.

I watch agog at what's happening in the UK parliament where 600 plus dishonourable idiots are mangling the process of exiting from the EU, making it impossible to do.  It's a ragged circus of unfunny clowns carrying an infinite number of custard pies wobbling around on wonky unicycles arguing over who has the cleanest face.

Or of the shenanigans in the USA.  Politics via social media.  Reporting, talking, shouting, showing, living everything on their sleeves.  RAW stuff.  Meat grinding pornographic stuff.  No filtering, no control, no standard; we are forced to watch as though our eyes are jammed open with broken cocktail sticks.

Strong polarisation is everywhere.  People have seen how Putin and other dictators operate and now want a piece of their cake.  The World is stirred up by fake news proliferate across all anti-social media which is being fed to big thumbed folk on small screens with narrowed eyes following their favourite rants of the day all the way to the ends of time.

Cage fighting is easy viewing in comparison to BBC Parliament.  Everything and anything goes.

Across the UK, the EU, the World is anger.  We are heading towards something, something not nice...

I'm decided.  I cannot influence any of it.  I removed myself from social media a long time back cos of the direction it was taking.  Is Blogger social media?  Perhaps.  More of an on line diary open to others to read if they wish.  I do not look for any thumbs up (doc is doing that to me in a couple of weeks anyway) nor sharing, and comments are nice to read as though I'm reading in the margins of someone else's favourite book.

I want to, no, I will do the other things in this life that are not media shaped nor flavoured.  Non political stuff.  Non aggressive stuff.  The gentler stuff.  Stuff that is stress free.  It matters for my / for our health.

Like riding my bike.  Sometimes on short rides.  Or longer rides that are linked together like homemade Christmas decorations running for a thousand miles.   With the wind in my face to remind me that I am alive.  Amongst the songs of the birds.  The perfume of the freshly flowering rape seeds.  To feel the scrunch of tyres on gravelly lanes.  The warmth of the spring sun.  Worrying only about [not having a] sore bum and creams.  Of looking forward to eating carbohydrates and drinking from electrolytic bok-boks.  Of being friendly to folk on similar rides and long walks.  Spending more time with people, people who matter in this life.  And finishing the day with a well earn't sleep.

My tide is changing.  The old angry flow is ebbing.

Spring has arrived.  Summer is around the corner.

I'm going out for a ride on my bike.
