Introducing my Cronk!
I'm sat in the living room as I type wearing a base layer long sleeve shirt plus lime green racing snake tee shirt over it. Whaddya think. Raring to go? Whoa boy!
Anyway, here it is, my bike is test loaded to see how things fit...
I initially tried to fit all into just the rear panniers but riding kit and day clothing, even after being pared down with a sharp knife plus camping gear and repair kit and shoes and food and water and, and... we'll I don't have a tardis so it just doesn't work with two bags. And I've toured with 4 before no worries and all is good...
It's kinda loaded like this.
Rear right pannier has all the camping gear in it plus waterproof jacket and trousers and my 11" apple laptop......
Font right has the camping cooker and pan, fuel and food bits
Front left has all the bike maintenance kit and other odds and sods
Rear left has all clothing and wearables plus 1.5ltr bottle of water...
The handlebar bag will contain cameras, keys, phone, books, paperwork and maps
All 100% waterproof unlike my good self...
The East Yorkshire camp site on Sustrans route 66 has called back and I'm booked in for next week. As this is a full rehearsal, even if the weather is bad I'll be off. Aiming to be back home 3 days later on Thursday so I can have a few relaxing days before LEJOG commences.. I've lengthened some of my routes and changed some of my accommodation too.
New one man tent should arrive from Germany in the next few days. Unlike it I'm itching to get on the move..
